Judiciary: Ebonyi Organises 2021/2022 legal year

Ebonyi Judiciary has organised 2021/2022 legal year to mark the end of 2021 and to begin 2022 new legal year.

 

The Chief Judge of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Justice Elvis Ngene made this Known to Journalists during the thanksgiving Ceremony at Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Abakaliki the State Capital.

 

Justice Ngene thanked God for successful 2021 and prayed for the success of 2022 legal year as well.

 

“I wish to say  that Ebonyi State Judiciary will at all times ensure quick justice administration to ensure justice delivery.

 

“There will be training and retraining of judiciary staff to attain to the hight of good Judicial administration in the State,” he added.

 

He thanked Ebonyi State Government for its  supports to ensure that the Judiciary keeps going.

 

The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Cletus Ofoke, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barrister Albert Alo said  there has been a good synergy between Ebonyi Judiciary and the state Ministry of Justice in the terms of Justice delivery

 

The Governor of Ebonyi State Engr David Umahi which was represented by his Deputy, Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe during the thanksgiving called on all and sundry to put efforts together to fight corruption in all sector of life.

 

“Ebonyi State Judiciary is one of the transparent Judiciary in the entire Country, I therefore urged Ebonyi State Judiciary to always ensure speedy justice delivery to the members of the public,” Igwe added.

 

Dr. Igwe thanked  Ebonyi Judiciary for the wonderful work they have been doing and encouraged them to work more.

 

The Bishop of St Peter Cathedral, Presybiterian Church of Nigeria, Most Reverend Torty Onoh called on Judiciary to always discharge their duties without sentiment or bribe knowing that all you do must be accounted for before the creator.

 

Onoh advised Judges to have fear of God even as they discharge their duties.
