Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Osogbo Federal Constituency in Osun State have endorsed Governor Gboyega Oyetola for second term in office.
The endorsement took place at the popular Nelson Mandela Freedom Park in the heart of Osogbo, where several APC leaders and members converged to give a nod to Governor Oyetola’s second term bid.
The Chairman of the Federal Constituency, Mrs Titi Laoye-Ponle, who read the communique of endorsement, said the people of the constituency appreciated the numerous projects the governor had embarked on since inception of his administration.
“From the inception of this administration three years ago, Gov. oyetola had left no one in doubt that he is a purposeful leader with the magic touch to lead the people of Osun to the promised land.
“The ward and local Executives of the Party as well as other stakeholders from the four local government areas that make up the federal constituency actually endorsed the second term of Gov. Oyetola, in writing.
“We are confident that he will do more, if given our mandate”, the communique read in part.
Earlier in his remarks, the APC Caretaker Chairman in the state, Mr Gboyega Famodun, commended the people of the constituency for endorsing the governor and urged all party leaders as well as members to work for the victory of the governor in 2022.
He equally enjoined all the newly elected Local Government Chairmen of the party to visit all polling units in their domain, especially the newly created ones to educate the electorate on the need to vote for the party.
Also speaking, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, representing Osun Central Federal Constituency at the Senate, said the leaders of the Party would work to ensure victory for the governor in 2022.
Bashiru, who is also the Senate spokesperson, noted that Oyetola’s endorsement was an indication that he did not disappoint in his first term.
He also used the platform to urge all Party leaders to continue to support the governor and his bid to take the state to enviable heights.
