The Nasarawa State All Progressive Congress(APC) has to retained the Acting Chairman, John Mamman as the Chairman of the party.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Working Committee, Abdullahi Abbas, during the 2021 APC Congress held on Saturday in Lafia, the State capital.
Abbas said that ”Mamman alongside other 35 officials were elected through consensus by delegates and stakeholders of the party in the state.”
He further commended the stakeholders for making the Aspirants resolve their differences amicably, stressing that the decision of the stakeholders had made their job to conduct the election easily.
Abbas commended them for their political maturity and understanding.
He listed the names of all the newly-elected party officials in the state and the Local Government including Aliyu Bello who was elected as the Secretary of the party.
Also speaking, Governor Abdullahi Sule expressed gratitude to all the national and state House of Assembly members and other stakeholders of the party for their cooperation and support.
According to Gov. Sule, “the consensus was made possible due to the support by the stakeholders.”
He tasked the new officials to work diligently to complement the peace and development efforts of the state government.
The new APC Chairman, John Mamman who spoke on behalf of the elected officials, expressed gratitude to the party’s stakeholders and members for the confidence reposed in them, promising not to disappoint them.
“The new leadership of the party would work hard to ensure the victory of the party in all future elections in the state,” he added.
