Niger Governor seeks Military operations against bandits

Niger state Governor in North central Nigeria, Abubakar Sani Bello has called on the need for intensive Simultaneous Military air and ground operation against bandits operating in the state and other states in the region.

 

Governor Bello said: “The battle against these criminals must not only be sustained but also extended simultaneously to other neighbouring states.”

 

The Niger State Governor who stated this in statement made public by his spokesperson, Mary Berje,  applauded the recent success recorded by the Military in its air and ground strikes against the Bandits in some communities of Kaduna, Zamfara and Katsina States in Northwestern part of the country.

 

Governor Bello noted that the Bandits can only be eliminated completely, and in a short time, if the assault on them is carried out simultaneously.

 

The Niger state Governor explained that the Governors of the states affected by bandits operations are already talking with the Army Chiefs on how to carry out simultaneous military operations against the miscreants.

 

“I’m sustaining my weekly meetings with  Heads of security agencies in the state to review their strategy on how to curtail the activities of the bandits.

 

The Niger state Governor has urged communities across the state to always provide credible intelligence information about the movement of bandits to the security agencies so that the planned simultaneous military operation can be a success.
