Buju’s EP ‘Sorry I’m late’ tops the charts

Nigerian Musician, Daniel Benson, better known as Buju or Bujutoyourears has released an extended play record titled ‘sorry I’m late’.

Ever since its release on Thursday, the EP has been topping the charts worldwide. The track list contains songs like Daniel Benson, Never stopped, Kilometer, Ogechukwu, Something sweet, For here, and lastly, I do.

In a play by play interview with Spotify, the singer breaks down his EP project, from the very first track on the list, to the last.

He stated that “The first song on my project is called Daniel Benson, it’s literally an introduction about me, my life and my person,”

The next track on the list is “Never stopped”, he described this track as a way of giving listeners reasons why they shouldn’t stop while chasing their dreams, or anything else they’re doing.

He described kilometer as “an amazing, feel-good record”. While commenting on the next track, ‘something sweet’ he said, “I have no words other than, it’s just sweet…it’s just a sweet song.”

The next track ‘Ogechukwu’ features the cavemen, he described it as his way of bringing highlife to listeners in the best way possible.

According to the singer, ‘For here’ is a song that talks about rejection in an African style.

The seventh and last song on the track list is called ‘I do’, it is tagged as an inspirational piece and it is the artist’s hope that the song inspires listeners.

Since its release, each track on his track list has been streamed by thousands of fans, including big names in the music industry.
