A group known as the coalition of Nigerian concerned citizens has applauded the leadership style of the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, describing Abuja as a construction site.
The group stated this while on a solidarity march tagged “peace walk” in Abuja Nigeria’s capital to the FCT Administration.
The group was then warmly received at the FCT Secretarial by the FCT Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olusade Adesola and other top management staff of the FCT.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Chairman and Leader, Mr. Hassan Sardauna said the assertion of some residents on the leadership style of the minister is far from the truth.
Mr. Sardauna noted that the six years of the current FCT Minister, Mohammed Musa Bello has brought massive transformation to Abuja and its environs.
He declared the group’s support for the leadership and governance of Malam Muhammad Musa Bello also applauded him for his innovating and constructive leadership that had pushed the city to a better high.
According to him, ” this assertion as far as we are concerned is far from the truth, we believe that most of us here are original inhabitants and residents of the territory and are leaving witnessing to the massive developments projects that is going on within the FCT”.
“As we speak, under construction today we have four-five massive inter- changes and bridges that ate currently under construction. Musa Bello is a pillar of anti-corruption crusade who always ensures prudent management of resources. He ensures in doing so much with little in his disposal”, he added
He called on residents of the FCT to always throw their support for leadership for better delivery.
While responding to the issue of security earlier raised by a group, Sardauna called on FCT residents to support the administration and security agencies to make their work easier by providing timely and credible information to make these challenges a thing of the past in Abuja.
Meanwhile, the FCT Permanent Secretary while warmly receiving the group, appreciated their recognition of the good work done by the current FCT administration under the leadership of Malam Muhammad Musa Bello.
He assured them that with the support of the residents, Abuja will continue to record massive infrastructural development, noting that already the city has turned to a construction site.
It could be recalled that about a week ago, a group of Indigenes staged a protest expressing their displeasure over some issues in the administration of the FCT Minister.
Some of the issues raised by the group were security challenges, infrastructures, the appointment of mandate secretaries and heads of agencies amongst others.
