Nigeria’s governing party the All Progressives Congress, APC needs a national chairman that can build on President Muhammadu Buhari’s legacies.

The Senator representing Niger East, Mohammed Sani Musa stated this at a press briefing in Abuja when he declared his intention to contest for the position of the APC National Chairman in the forthcoming National Convention.

He said he has the ability to achieve the electoral and political outcomes necessary to ensure that APC consolidate and accelerate the socio-economic transformation that President Buhari started.

Senator Musa added that for APC to be repositioned, it will need strong and visionary leadership.

“If giving the opportunity to lead the party I will completely re-engineer the internal structures and workings of the party and make it adaptive to the yearnings and aspirations of members and Nigerians. I will be adaptive to participatory and affiliative work style that will usher visionary and pacesetting leadership that will transform the party to a democratic institution that Nigerians will proudly continue to embrace. If we hope to maintain credibility over time, then we must adhere faithfully to the same organizational expectations that our context asks of our teams, for me my words are my bonds” Senator said.

He further commended the APC Caretaker for expanding the membership base of the party and attracting high profile members.
