Lawmaker tasks students on hardwork

A member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah has encouraged all students to cultivate the habits of hardwork  both while in school and thereafter.

Comrade Ogah stated this during the 5th Matriculation Ceremony of Blessed Martins International Institute of Science and Technology  BMIIST in Ohatekwe Amegu, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

He expressed happiness over the progress made so far in the school. He however thanked those who have contributed in one way or the other to ensure the success in the School.

“My appreciation goes to everyone who have made sacrifices for the school, especially Ebonyi State Government who have given us the enabling environment to operate,” he said.

The Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, represented by his Special Adviser on Legislative Affairs, Mr Nnanna Igbokwe thanked Comrade Ogah for his good initiative of embarking on education investment.

The Commissioner for Education, Mr Sunday Nwangele who represented Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. David Umahi while congratulating the matriculants said he will continue to make  everything possible to promote education in the State.

“As I talk to you the state has approved the establishment of two Universities in the State and the law establishing the school has just been passed by Ebonyi State House of Assembly,” he said.

The Rector of the School, Mr Idris Umar Farouq expressed Joy and urged parents and guidance to bring the children and wards for better training in the school.

Also, the Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Mr Francis Nwifuru urged the students to be dedicated in their studies. Nwifuru pledged regular support to the Institution.

The Proprietress of the Institution, Mrs Mary Chinedu Ogah while thanking God for journey mercies for parents, students and guests said this is the 5th Matriculation of the school since it started in 4th of May, 2017.

The Matriculating Students are pooled from the department of Community health, Medical Laboratory Technician, Health Information Management,  Pharmacy Technician and Environmental Health Technician,” she added.

Mrs Ogah also added that Blessed Martins International Institute of Science and Technology BMIIST is the only school of Health technology in the state offering Pharmacy Technician.

One of the Matriculating Students, Alo Chika on behalf of the students promised to be of good behavior and to avoid social vices.
