COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 418 new cases

Nigeria has confirmed 418 new cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases on Monday morning via its official Facebook page.

The NCDC explained that the new cases were recorded from 6 States- “Lagos-314, Ogun-27, Plateau-18, Edo-17, Enugu-11, Abia-8, Delta-7, Bayelsa-5, Kano-4, Rivers-4, Osun-2, Oyo-1.”

Today’s report includes: “18 confirmed cases reported for Plateau state for 06th December 2021, 11 confirmed cases reported for Enugu state for 10th December 2021, 7 confirmed cases reported for Delta state for 11th (4) & 12th (3) December 2021, 18 Discharged cases reported for Enugu state for 10th December 2021, 2 Discharged cases reported for Lagos state for 10th December 2021, 3 states with zero cases reported: Ekiti, Ondo and Sokoto,”

These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 217,481 with 207,746 discharged and 2,981 COVID-19 related deaths.
