Algeria tipped by bookmakers to win AFCON 2022

The Desert Foxes of Algeria are firm favourites to retain the 2022 AFCON title next month in Cameroun.

According to bookmakers, the 2-time  champions will win because of their present form and quality of players on display.

The North Africans just recently won the FIFA Arab Cup championship in Qatar and have not lost a competitive match in more than two years.

Other teams expected to give the Algerians a run include Senegal and Egypt.

The Algerians beat Senegal 1-0 in 2019 in front of a capacity crowd in Cairo to lift the trophy.

Egypt have won the tournament seven times, Cameroun five, and Ghana four times respectively.
