Super Eagles of Nigeria’s first choice goalkeeper and Chippa United star, Stanley Nwabali, expressed delight at meeting the Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying it was his dream to meet the Nigerian Leader.

Speaking after meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House on Tuesday, the shot stopper had a few words to share.

It’s so nice, it’s been my dream to meet the President and today, it’s so nice, I won’t even talk about my reaction because merely looking at my face, you’ll see that I’m so happy,” Nwabali said.

“Even my teammates are so happy because the way Mr. President said we reached our best, but it was up to him to show this kind of appreciation to us. But I appreciate him so much, to be honest, they tried for us.”

Speaking on his return to his club side, Nwabali said he will return to Chippa United following his contract with the club.

“I must go back to my club, but talking about the threat, this is football, you can’t threaten someone because they also won some other teams too,” Nwabali added. “How about if those they won decided to keep threatening your players? It doesn’t make sense.”

“It’s football, I don’t think there’s anything attached to it. Maybe it was just someone writing on social media. But it’s cool to me because I spoke to my chairman three days ago, but he didn’t say anything like all that stuff.”
