A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION CALLS FOR POLITICAL WILL TO END HUNGER

The ECOWAS Food and Cultural Festival, says it will continue to work with both governments and nongovernmental organisations to ensure every home on the African Continent joins the war against hunger and poverty.

 

The Director General of ECOWAS Food and Cultural Festival, Mr. Felix Ihonre called on Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu to ensure that there is a political Will among regional and sub-regional governments for the people in the West region to be able to afford three square meals per day.

 

Mr. Ihonre said ECOWAS Food and Cultural Festival is a non-governmental organization established across fifteen ECOWAS Countries to build a united front for their socio-cultural development and fight common factors hindering the growth of West African Nations.

 

He made the call on the ECOWAS Chairman during a Media Briefing ahead of Nigeria 2025 in Katsina State, saying there was a need for the region to end hunger in the next five years.

 

The Director General of ECOWAS Food and Cultural Festival also called on the governments of Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal to rescind their decisions to build West African nations together.
