Abuja-Aso Golf Rotary Club Gets New President.

Former Vice President of the African Women in Leadership Organization, Lizzy-Ulunma Asomugha, has been installed as the 4th President of the Rotary Club of Abuja -Aso Golf.
According to a statement released by the media team, the Presidential ceremony formally installing her in office was held at the IBB International Golf and Country Club, Abuja.
The ceremony signified the beginning of a new chapter of leadership for the club and provided guests and members to witness the formal installation of a new leader expected to be at the helms of affairs, until June 30, 2025y.
An elated Asomugha told newsmen that her installation to the highly esteemed position was a call to service.
“I feel privileged to lead and render selfless service to humanity because Rotary is all about Friendship and friendship. “I am indeed happy to have my family and friends here who are going to support me to carry on this big task for the next year,” she said.
GOLFING COMMUNITY
Lizzy is also the former Lady Captain of Parkland Golf Resort and immediate past Vice President of African Women in Leadership. She noted that the Rotary Club of Abuja-Aso Golf is so unique because it is the only Rotary Club in a golfing community in the whole of Nigeria.
She said her goal was to bring all golfers on board to be a Rotarian, adding that the Rotary Club was a place to be.
“I am privileged to lead as the 4th President of this unique club. “I intend to organize golf and tennis tournaments during my tenure. Since we are here, the essence is to bring all golfers on board.
Some of the guests at the event who spoke to Journalists said that Asomugha’s election was a well-deserved vote due to her exceptional dedication, diligence, and unwavering commitment to the values and mission of the club.
Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe said her election prestigious position was a clear indication of her dedication to service and her outstanding leadership qualities, which she had exhibited over the years.
The former governor of Rivers State and former Minister of Transportation, Hon. (Barr.) Chibuike Amaechi said he was confident that her leadership would no doubt bring new energy and vision to the club as a result of her past achievements and capabilities.
Prof. Peter Azikiwe Onwualu, the President/Vice Chancellor of the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja noted that Lizzy was his Accountant Manager when she was in the bank, while he was the DG, describing her excellent customer service relationship as top notch.
Makosi Musambasi, a Zimbabwean, and the Image Chair of the club said that all hands must be on deck to support Lizzy and ensure that her one-year tenure is a successful one.
