The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, North-Eastern Nigeria, has condoled with the families of Madagali attack victims and commended the gallant efforts of security personnel working to restore peace in the region.
In a statement, the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mohammed Abdullahi, wished the injured a quick recovery, assuring residents that the government remains committed to defeating insurgency.
“The people of Adamawa know who has stood with them during their darkest hours. We stand firmly with the victims of Wagga Mongoro and salute the bravery of our armed forces, whose sacrifices continue to degrade insurgents,” Abdullahi stated.
The APC expressed confidence that ongoing counter-insurgency efforts will lead to the full defeat of terrorism in the North-East, urging residents to remain vigilant and supportive of security agencies.
The statement, however, criticized remarks made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over the incident, describing them as “insensitive and misleading.”
According to the party, Atiku’s comments contained “factual errors” about the location and casualty figures, which it said amounted to politicizing a human tragedy.
The party reassured citizens of its continued support, emphasizing that “politicization of grief” would not deter efforts to consolidate peace and development in Adamawa State.
