Adamawa State Polytechnic has reaffirmed its strategic partnership with the Adamawa State Correspondents’ Chapel, strengthening ties between the academic institution and the media to promote education and public engagement.

This renewed collaboration was highlighted during a courtesy visit to the Polytechnic by the Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Ibrahim Kado, alongside other members of the chapel.

The visit aimed to reinforce existing cooperation and explore new areas of mutual interest.

Commending the institution’s progress, particularly in academic reforms and infrastructural development, Kado emphasised the media’s commitment to amplifying the Polytechnic’s achievements.

“Our visit today is to reaffirm our readiness to work with the Polytechnic as partners in progress. As journalists, we are committed to highlighting the institution’s milestones and supporting its mission to advance education in Adamawa State,” he said.

In his response, the Rector of Adamawa State Polytechnic, Professor Mohammed Toungos, expressed gratitude for the media’s continued support, describing the relationship as both strategic and mutually beneficial.

“We see the media not just as observers but as partners in our journey to deliver quality education. We welcome this renewed collaboration and look forward to more impactful engagements,” he stated.

Professor Toungos reaffirmed the institution’s openness to deepening engagement with the media and emphasised that effective communication is key to achieving the Polytechnic’s development goals.

He also pledged continued scholarship support for journalists from the chapel who wish to pursue further studies at the institution.

The renewed partnership underscores the growing recognition of the media’s role in shaping public perception, fostering accountability, and promoting educational development in Nigeria and beyond.
