Adamawa Receives Massive Polio Vaccine Donation
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has donated 1,433,300 doses of polio vaccines to the Adamawa Government, targeting children aged 0 to 59 months in the upcoming immunisation campaign.

Dr Suleiman Bashir, Executive Secretary of the Adamawa Primary Healthcare Development Agency (PHCDA), disclosed this during a media round-table discussion held on Thursday in Yola.
Bashir stated that the agency had deployed 2,778 personnel to ensure the successful implementation of the immunisation exercise across all 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

According to him, the campaign is scheduled to take place from 26 to 29 April, and he urged parents and guardians to ensure their children are vaccinated against polio.
He also appealed for the support of traditional and religious leaders to help guarantee the success of the exercise.
Mr Oluseyi Olosunde, Health Officer at the UNICEF Bauchi Field Office, commended the Adamawa Government for its efforts in healthcare service delivery.
Olosunde added that special teams would be deployed to markets, playgrounds, schools, and places of worship to ensure no child is left behind.
