Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Nigeria, as well as the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, following his passing away in London.
In a message of mourning and reflection, Governor Fintiri described the death of the former Nigerian leader as a profound national loss.
He noted that President Buhari’s enduring legacy of service, integrity, and dedication to Nigeria’s development would be deeply remembered by citizens at home and abroad.
“President Buhari was a statesman whose leadership, in both military and democratic dispensations, significantly shaped Nigeria’s journey,” the Governor stated.
“His contributions to infrastructure development, agricultural reform, and national security are landmarks that will continue to define our national progress.” Fintiri noted.
He commended Buhari’s role in promoting unity and stability, particularly during critical periods of Nigeria’s history, including the aftermath of the civil war, emphasizing that Buhari’s vision for a cohesive and prosperous Nigeria will inspire generations to come.
The Governor also offered special condolences to the late President’s widow, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, a native of Adamawa State.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her. I urge her to find strength in the love and support of the Nigerian people and take comfort in the legacy her husband leaves behind,” Fintiri said.
Concluding his tribute, Governor Fintiri prayed: “May Allah grant the late President Muhammadu Buhari Aljanatu Firdaus. May his legacy continue to inspire future generations, and may God comfort his family and all Nigerians during this time of grief.”
