Adamawa State Governor Mourns Senator Zwingina

The Governor of Adamawa State, Amadu Fintiri,  has expressed deep regret over the demise of a former Adamawa South District senator and former Majority Leader of the Senate, Jonathan Silas Zwingina.

Governor Fintiri described the death of Senator Zwingina as a big loss to the State and the nation at large.

In a statement, the Governor said Late Zwingina’s exceptional service to Adamawa and Nigeria, especially as a legislator from 1999 to 2007, and his work at MAMSER will always be cherished.

He added that Senator Zwingina, who hailed from the Lunguda extraction in Guyuk Local Government Area of Adamawa State contributed immensely to the state’s development.

The Governor expressed his heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

Senator Jonathan Zwingina was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party who represented Adamawa Southern Senatorial District for two terms (1999-2007) but later defected to the All Progressives Congress.
