Adamawa State Governor Swears In New SSG, Attorney-General

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has sworn in Auwal Tukur as Secretary to the State Government and Afraimu Jingi as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the banquet Hall, Government House, Yola, the state capital.

Governor Fintirii at the event described the SSG and the Attorney-General as exceptional individuals who would play vital roles in governance and administration.

He said the newly SSG has been a dedicated and committed public servant, and his wealth of experience and knowledge would be invaluable in guiding the affairs of the state government.

‘I have complete faith in his ability to effectively coordinate the activities of various ministries, departments, and agencies, ensuring that our administration’s policies and programs are executed efficiently for the benefit of our people,” he said.

Equally, the Governor said Barrister Afraimu Jingi, who was appointed as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice is an accomplished legal practitioner known for his unwavering commitment to justice and the rule of law.

” I have full confidence that his deep understanding of the legal landscape, coupled with his impeccable integrity, will enable him to provide sound legal advice and ensure the effective administration of justice in our state. His appointment signifies our unwavering commitment to upholding the principles of fairness and equity in Adamawa State.

”To the new Head of the civil service and the State Auditor, our state is in dire need of restoration and you must bring to bear your experience in the service to support our rebuilding process which we started four years ago”. Your appointments come at a critical time when our state faces numerous challenges. 

However, I am confident that with your expertise, dedication, and unwavering commitment to service, you will rise to the occasion and help us overcome these challenges,” the Governor re-emphasized.

As they both assume their new roles, the Governor urged them to embrace team work tirelessly in the discharge of their duties, keeping the interests of the people of Adamawa State at the forefront of their minds.

”Together with other members of the cabinet, I expect you to foster a harmonious and inclusive working environment where ideas are freely shared, and decisions are made in the best interest of our people. I encourage you to seek innovative approaches to governance, tapping into the vast potential of our state and ensuring that every citizen has a voice and a stake in our collective progress,” Fintiri noted.

Furthermore, the Governor urge them to prioritize the welfare of the citizens, especially the vulnerable and marginalized groups in the society emphasizing that their  actions be guided by compassion and a genuine desire to improve the lives of the people so as to deliver on the administration’s promises and fulfill the aspirations of Adamawa State residents.
