Adamawa’s Fufore Emirate Inducts 16 New Council Members

The Fufore Emirate Council in Adamawa State, North-East Nigeria, has officially inducted 16 newly appointed council members, including the former Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria, VON, Malam Abubakar Jijiwa, who now serves as the Waziri of the Emirate.

During the swearing-in ceremony held in Fufore, the Emir of Fufore, Alhaji Sani Ribadu, urged the new council members to uphold the fear of God and integrity in the discharge of their duties.
He noted that “the appointees were individuals of proven character and competence, and called on them to deploy their vast experience towards advancing the growth and stability of the Emirate.”
The Emir also commended Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for approving the appointments, reaffirming his commitment to promoting justice, peace, and security within the Emirate.
Ribadu further appealed to residents to cooperate with the council members to enable them to succeed in their responsibilities.
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated members, Malam Jijiwa—who also chairs the Council—expressed gratitude to the Emir for the confidence reposed in them.
He promised that the council would work with utmost dedication and transparency, bringing their collective expertise to bear in supporting the Emir’s vision for the development and progress of Fufore Emirate.
With our combined knowledge and experience, we will stand firmly with His Royal Highness in fostering peace, unity, and sustainable growth across the Emirate,” Jijiwa affirmed.
