Adewole Adebayo has emerged as the Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party ,SDP, in Nigeria.
The SDP Presidential Primary election was held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Mr Adebayo pulled 1526 Votes while the female aspirant Khadijah Akunnu Lamidi has 83 votes.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee Dr Umar Ardo Declared Adewole Adebayo as the winner of the SDP presidential candidate.
A total number of 1653 delegates voted in the party primary election.
In his acceptance speech, the SDP Presidential candidate called on members of the Party to work together for a better Nigeria.
