AFN To Hold Elective Congress In Kebbi State
The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), on Wednesday had a virtual Extraordinary Congress as part of preparation for the 2021 Elective Congress billed to happen in Kebbi State on the 14th of June, 2021.
The Federation reaffirmed the amendment of the 2017 AFN Constitution at the Awka Extra Ordinary Congress held on December 4, 2019.
The Congress resolved that the 2017 AFN Constitution (as amended) be used at the 2021 Elective Congress of the AFN for elections to the Board of the Federation.

Electoral and Appeals Committees were also appointed and inaugurated for the 2021 Elective Congress of the Federation.
Nominations and Appointments for Members of the Electoral Committee
Chairman – Prince Jambright B.Sumanu
Vice Chairman – Mohammed Surajo Aliyu
Member – Alozie Emmanuel
Director General-Secretary
Nominations and Appointments for Members of the Appeals Committee
Chairman – Omoyemi Gold Olumudi
Member – Eche Ezibe
Member – Goodluck Omoekaweri Akpodeh.
The Committees were also given one week to come up with election guidelines and hit the ground running.
On Wednesday 12th May 2021, the AFN had an Extraordinary Congress as part of preparation for the 2021 Elective Congress billed to happen on the 14th of June 2021.
