Africa Security Watch Nominates Gombe Governor For Best Security Consciousness

The Africa Security Watch has nominated the Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the prestigious Best Security Conscious State Governor Award.
This international organization is dedicated to raising security awareness and addressing current security challenges across Africa.
Consequently, the award, slated to be presented at the 18th Africa Security Watch Awards & Conference on December 10-12, 2024, in Doha, Qatar, is oganized in collaboration with Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
The event serves as a premier global platform which recognizes excellence in governance, leadership, security, safety, transport, and environmental sustainability.
Governor Yahaya’s nomination is a testament to his innovative and impactful leadership in ensuring the safety of lives and property in Gombe State and Nigeria as a whole.
According to the nomination letter, his leadership is marked by “innovativeness, resilience, and purposeful governance in safeguarding lives and properties in Gombe State.”
In addition to receiving the award, Governor Yahaya has been invited to deliver a keynote address at the conference.
His speech will focus on *“Developing a Module for People-Centric Governance Towards the Enhancement of Peace and Security.”*
Governor Yahaya is also expected to highlight Gombe State’s distinctive approach to addressing security challenges in, the state has been positioned as a model of peace and stability in the northern region of Nigeria.
The Africa Security Watch Awards have previously been held in countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, The Gambia, the UAE, and the USA, cementing its reputation as a key platform for recognizing excellence in security and governance.
Governor Yahaya’s proactive security policies have not only strengthened Gombe State’s physical security, but also created a foundation for its human capital development.
