Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has unveiled her fourth studio album, ”This One Is Personal”, marking her first full-length project in five years.
The 15-track album, released on Friday across digital platforms, delves into themes of love, heartbreak, resilience, and self-discovery, woven into her signature Afrobeats sound.
Savage worked with artistes Skepta, Taves, and James Fauntleroy, whom she described as collaborators chosen for their ability to align with her personal vision without overshadowing it.

In a post on her X (formerly Twitter) account, she explained that the album was recorded in studios across Nashville, London, San Francisco, and Lagos.
“This project is so close to my heart, and I poured every part of me into it. Please cherish it, because This One Is Personal. This album is my story, so I kept the features limited. I wanted you all to feel me in every song,” she wrote.
During a Fan Q&A session, the Afrobeats star further explained her approach: “The few features I chose were very intentional, with people who understood the vision and could add to the message without taking away from its intimacy. It’s less about numbers and more about connection.”
Savage, who last released a studio album in 2020, said her new project mirrors her personal journey over the past five years, balancing career shifts, motherhood, and self-discovery.
