Agency Launches Servicom Charter for Effective Humanitarian response

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has launched a Servicom charter for effective and efficient humanitarian service delivery to Nigerians.

 

Director General of the Agency, Mustapha Ahmed launched the Charter in Abuja Nigeria noting that it’s the duty of the agency to ensure that the needs of Nigerians are met within the period they need the support.

 

He said the launch of the Charter is an indication of NEMA’s readiness to respond to humanitarian crises with utmost dedication, competence and compassion.

 

“The NEMA Servicom Charter outlines our commitment to providing timely and accurate information, responding promptly to emergencies, and treating all individuals with respect and dignity”. 

 

According to him, the Service charter also emphasises the importance of continued improvement as the agency strives to enhance its capabilities and strengthen its partnerships to better serve the public.

 

“It’s on record that in normal times, we help build the resilience of the people, in times of disasters we support them with life-saving interventions. We value the opinions and experiences of our customers as they provide us invaluable insights on how to improve and make better our service delivery”. 

 

Mr Mustapha added that NEMA is committed to providing the necessary training as support to enhance the skills and expertise of its employees in order to build an excellent and knowledgeable workforce.

 

The National Coordinator, Servicom, Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli said the unveiling of the NEMA service charter to its stakeholders marks a significant step towards Service improvement in the agency.

 

Represented by the Head of Operations, Servicom, Ngozi Akinbodewa, the National Coordinator noted that the Servicom charter also includes the organisations expectation from the customers towards fulfilling its commitment to the citizens.

 

“However, its implementation will determine how well NEMA is positioned to really improve on the services provided to the citizens and stakeholders. ” 

 

Mrs Akajemeli further stated that the Charter improves customer relationship, stimulates improvement and reforms as well as enable progress to be measured and improves performance.

 

She therefore advised the management of NEMA to make available the service Charter to all citizens including those using the website.
