The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of election in Bayelsa State, Southern, Nigeria, Ebong Eyibio, said that the Governorship election in the state is peaceful and calm.
He made the statement in an interview with Voice of Nigeria, at Famgbe community, Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State, Southern, Nigeria.
According to him, from all indications, the election in Bayelsa State is very peaceful and calm.
He went further to advise Politicans to take election calmly and embrace brotherly conduct.
The AIG, also stated that, after the election, it is the duty of the electorates to hold the winner ransom to deliver his mandate of democracy.
He advised electorates to go out to their various polling unit to cast their votes and wait for the announcement of the result.
Eyibio also thanked God that there is no record of violence so far.
