AIG, Police Commissioner to Improve Security in Anambra

In a renewed bid to tackle security challenges, the police leadership has demonstrated its commitment to evolve lasting solution to all forms of crime and criminality in Anambra State and beyond

This formed the focal point of discussion  between the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu and  Assistant Inspector-General Abayomi Peter Oladipo at the Zonal Headquarters, Ukpo, during a courtesy visit by the former.

The opportunity for the visit which was aimed at welcoming the AIG to the Zone, was equally used in briefing/intimate the AIG with the security situation on the ground, in the State.

During their discussion, the AIG and the CP deliberated on ways to further improve the security system in the State and to ensure a lasting solution to security challenges in, and around Anambra State.

According to a press statement issued by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Ihunwo Josephine, AIG Abayomi appreciated the visit of the CP and further charged him to sustain the effort in securing the lives and properties of people from the state (Ndị-Anambra).
