Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, the former governor of Nasarawa State, has purchased an expression of interest form to run for the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairmanship position. Sen. Al-Makura, a leading aspirant, was the first candidate to purchase the form on Tuesday, March 16, 2022.

The Director-General (DG) of Al-Makura Campaign Organisation, Comrade Dominic Allancha, disclosed this in Abuja.

“Al-Makura was the first APC Chairmanship aspirant to purchase nomination form, that’s to tell you we are battle-ready to slug it out whatever way it comes.”

“We are running a race, we are not in competition with anybody, and this is to prove that President Muhammadu Buhari didn’t repeatedly endorse any candidate,” he said.
Allancha commended the leadership of APC for the commencement of convention activities and for providing a level playing ground for all aspirants by selling nomination forms.
