All is now set for the change of the mantle of leadership in Kogi State, Central Nigeria.
At the event, slated for 09: 00 GMT, the Stare Governor, Yahaya Bello will hand over power to Governor-Elect, Usman Ododo.
Already, the venue for the event, Muhammadu Buhari Square, is wearing a new look with well positioned Nigerian and All Progressives Congress flags flying.
Security has been beefed up within and around Lokoja the State capital, to ensure a hitch-free event.
Vice President Kashim Shettima is to represent President Bola Tinubu as the Special Guest of Honour at the historical event.
Usman Ododo, won the Kogi State governorship election of 11th November, 2023, with 446, 237 votes.
He is expected to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor and political ally, Yahaya Bello.
