The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Abdullahi Adamu Candido has promised to give automatic scholarship to twenty-nine (29) LEA pupils who participated in the essay writing for the 2021 international day of happiness and book presentation at LEA Secretariat Wuse Abuja.
The Chairman made this known during a media retreat organised for journalists covering activities of the council in Keffi, Nassarawa State, North Central Nigeria.
Candido stated that the sum of 26 million naira has been budgeted recently for the scholarship.
The Chairman who admonished the pupils that what their parents are will not determine their future encouraged them to pursue their dreams no matter the challenges they are facing in recent times.
He directed the LEA secretariat to make this essay writing competition a routine such that pupils from remote village schools will equally participate.
During the presentation of the book “The Motor Boy”, Candido encouraged both teachers and pupils to live upto their expectations.
