Amokachi Takes Over As Lobi Stars Technical Adviser

Former Super Eagles sensational, Daniel Amokachi, the Bull has assumed duty as the new Technical Adviser of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi, after he was officially unveiled.

During his introduction to the team, the Benue-born footballer emphasized his role as a mentor, friend, and leader, aiming to foster a strong bond among the players to propel the team forward.

Speaking to the press at McCarthy Stadium, in Makurdi, Amokachi thanked the club’s Board and the Benue State Government for the opportunity and assured his commitment to giving his all for the team’s success.

Acknowledging the team’s recent record of three losses, one draw, and one win, he vowed to enhance their performance while highlighting the importance of players welfare in achieving positive results.

As he gears up to collaborate with the current squad, Amokachi commended the Nigerian Professional Football League’s progress and expressed optimism for further advancements in the country’s football scene.

Lobi Stars football team is currently undergoing rigorous training in preparation for their upcoming North Central derby against Niger Tornadoes, with a strong emphasis on tactical drills to sharpen their skills under the guidance of the former international footballer.

In a related development, the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, SWAN Benue State chapter has praised the appointment of former Super Eagles player Daniel Amokachi as the new Technical Adviser of Lobi Stars by the board led by Dr. Philip Nongu.

In a statement signed by its Electoral Committee Chairman and Secretary Terkula Atom and Uche Nnorom, SWAN believes Amokachi’s extensive experience, including coaching the Super Eagles, Ifeanyi Uba, and Nasarawa United, will greatly benefit Lobi Stars.

The association encourages Amokachi to bring his expertise to the club and work alongside Governor Hyacinth Alia to improve the team’s performance and restore its reputation.
