Amoo missing as Copenhagen are whipped 3-0 by Dortmund
Knee Injury knocks him out for the season
Nigerian speed star midfielder Akinkunmi Amoo was missing as his Danish side FC Copenhagen lost 3-0 to Borussia Dortmund in their UEFA Champions League match.
Amoo – who is the livewire of his side – sustained a serious knew injury over the weekend, meaning he is out for the season.
“Amoo now has an operation, then rest and then a long rehabilitation before he can train with the team and play matches again. Altogether, that process will last 9-10 months,” says chief physician at FCK, Morten Boesen.
Akinkunmi Amoo fik desværre en alvorlig knæskade i lørdagens træningskamp mod Silkeborg, og efter scanning og undersøgelser er han desværre meldt ude resten af sæsonen. #fcklive https://t.co/DNqsekL2xi

Scans and examinations confirmed the extent of damage; and his absence showed badly Tuesday night.
Dortmund simply destroyed the Danes with a ruthless display of football they are known for.
American kid dynamo Giovanni Alejandro Reyna ran the show as his two assists gave the Germans the perfect start to European football.
Club captain Marco Reus opened scores on 36 minutes, while Raphaël Guerreiro added a second in the 42nd minute.
English Midfielder Jude Bellingham completed the rout in the 83rd minute.
Copenhagen suffered their first ever Matchday 1 defeat this evening.
The Danish side had previously managed a win and three draws.
