Anambra 2021: APC Primary Election Committee gives assurance of Fairplay

The Chairman of APC Primary election committee and Governor of Ogun State,Dapo Abiodun has assured the party’s aspirants for the governorship election of a transparent election process.

The Governor who was addressing party stakeholders and governorship aspirants in Awka, said he has come to give every aspirant a level playing field in line with the party’s guidelines.

He reminded them that the party was willing to capture the state, explaining that aspirants were expected to comport themselves accordingly to ensure a hitch free exercise in the state.

The State Chairman of the Party, Honourable  Basil Ejidike said the party chose direct primary election to give every party member the opportunity to be part of the process of selection.

“I enjoin us  all to cooperate with the Electoral Committee to enable them deliver on their mandate. I am optimistic that whoever emerges will meet the satisfaction of all,” Ejidike said.

The meeting was attended by other members of the committee, Former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani, Minister for Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige,among others.

The election is scheduled to hold in all the 326 wards in the state on Saturday, 26th June, 2021.
