The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN says it has concluded arrangement to stage her annual Day/Prayer rally for the nation and peaceful conduct of November 6 governorship polls.
It also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to be an impartial umpire by giving all the candidates a level playing ground devoid of malpractices.
“The INEC must resist the temptation of being used by anyone to rig the election. Any money gotten to rig election is a blood money and will bring generational curses to the people involved”.
Speaking during a press conference in Awka, the State Chairman of PFN, Bishop Moses Ezedebego, said the prayer rally has been scheduled to hold on Friday September 17, 2021 and is expected to attract its National President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke.
According to him, the event is to showcase and strengthen the body of Christ with all her members across the 179 communities in attendance.
While stating that it had set up a committee for good governance headed by Dr Amaechi Nwachukwu to galvanize and ensure good representation of people, he urged the electorate to guard their votes and resist any form of rigging.
He then advised candidates to conduct their campaign without violence and resort to issue-based campaign, adding that their members had been mobilized to arm themselves with voters’ card to vote for candidates of their choice.
“We need a governor for everybody, someone that will carry everybody along. We are praying for the right candidate to take over Anambra state”, he said.
