The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has affirmed its readiness to conduct a seamless primary election slated for April 5th, 2025.
Rising from a stakeholders meeting including Local Government Chairmen, Party Executive and Councillors, held at the International Convention Centre, Awka, it restated it’s commitment to follow laid down process.
While addressing the gathering, the State Governor and the National leader of the party, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, said APGA is fully prepared to conduct a free and credible primary worthy of emulation.
According to the Governor, Anambra is one state, one people with one agenda and one political party positioned to impact on people’s lives.
He explained that the meeting was a prelude to the forthcoming primary election to ensure that everyone is fully aligned of what the party had achieved through his government for the past three years.
The Governor who expressed happiness that his administration has substantially delivered on its contract with ‘Ndi Anambra’, revealed that in the history of APGA, the party has never been this united in an election year.
He added that there seems to be a general consensus for his government and the party to continue to remain in power.

The National Chairman of the party, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, described the party as a mass movement formed to effect positive changes in the system. He added that the party would sweep the poll during the gubernatorial election.
The convener and the Special Adviser to the governor on political matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, commended the governor’s continued commitment towards the April 5th, 2025 development of the State in all sectors of the economy.
