A leading aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination in Anambra State, Paul Chukwuma has expressed strong confidence in his chances of winning the party’s primary elections set for April 5, 2025.

Chukwuma attributed his optimism to the substantial grassroots support he has garnered over the past three years while working to reposition and strengthen the APC in Anambra.

He addressed the long-standing dominance of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra, asserting that the political dynamics in the state would undergo a significant transformation come November 8, 2025.

He believes the APC is strategically poised to assume leadership and deliver more effective governance for the state.

Chukwuma further differentiated between the APC’s federal policies and the specific developmental and security challenges facing Anambra under Governor Charles Soludo’s administration.

He contended that many of the state’s critical issues are local in nature and directly fall within the state’s jurisdiction.

If granted the opportunity to lead, he pledged to tackle Anambra’s recurring insecurity with decisive action and innovative solutions.

In response to claims that Anambra’s impressive educational performance stems from government initiatives, Chukwuma refuted these assertions, attributing the state’s educational success to mission schools rather than public institutions.

“The Catholic Church and the Anglican Church have been the main drivers of quality education in Anambra, while state-owned schools continue to be neglected,” he added.
