Anambra Assembly Speaker Felicitates Nigerians At New Year

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has assured Nigerians especially Anambrarians that the State Legislature would continue to enact laws and resolutions aimed at uplifting the living standard of the citizenry as well as the total development of the state.

In a statement released and signed by Emma Madu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Udeze in his new year message to Nigerians on behalf of the state legislature, described the new year as a year of peace and progress for the state and the nation.

The Speaker who noted that the legislative agenda of the 8th Assembly coincided with Governor Soludo’s agenda which revolves around infrastructure and economic transformation, security, law and order, social agenda and human capital development among others, enjoined Anambra people to join hands in making the state a liveable and prosperous homeland.

He urged various religious bodies in the state to intensify prayers for the continuous peace and progress of the state, noting that with prayers the state will continue to grow from strength to strength.

Hon. Udeze who enjoined Nigerians especially the Anambra people to embrace the spirit of industry, unity and commitment described the growth and development of the state as a collective responsibility.

He urged Nigerians to be confident and steadfast even in the midst of various challenges, emphasizing that the new year offers the citizens a new opportunity to aspire for the realization of the dream of a prosperous nation.
