Anambra election: PDP canvasses for Ozigbo
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwarts in Anambra State canvassed support for the party’s candidate in the state governorship election scheduled for Saturday, November 6, 2021, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo.
They stated this during the PDP’s grand “KA Anambra CHAWAPU” rally held at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, Anambra State.
Top PDP members at the event include former governor and leader of the party in the state, Mr. Peter Obi; Governor of Abia State and Chairman, National Campaign Council, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu; Governor of Delta State and Deputy Chairman, National Campaign Council, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde; Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuaibu and the state PDP Chairman, Chief Ndubisi Nwobu.
Others are Chairperson, Campaign Council, Anambra State, Uche Ekwunife; member, Board of Trustees (BoT), Ben Ndi Obi; DG Campaign Organisation, Alex Obi Ogbolu, among others.
In his welcome address, Nwobu said the gathering was to showcase the party’s flag bearer for the election, Valentine Ozigbo.
He gave the assurance that the party would win the election come this Saturday and urged the electorate to vote for Ozigbo.
Also, Ikpeazu urged people in the state to come out en-masse and vote for Ozigbo.
Besides, Okowa said the party was ready to take back the nation when it wins the governorship poll in Anambra State.
He said: “This is the time for us to rebuild Anambra State. We cannot rebuild if we cannot forgive ourselves.
“Our governorship candidate is a gift delivered to us by God. Go out and take it back. What we need is strength that comes from courage. What God has given to you, don’t thrown it away.”
