Results of the just concluded State House of Assembly Elections have started trickling in at the various INEC Local Government Offices. Though many results are being speculated on social media, the authentic results are yet to be officially declared.
At the collation center of the INEC in Awka South Local Government Area, the atmosphere there was charged as party faithful are clamoring for the final result of Awka Constituency 1 to be declared.
Meanwhile, the collation of the results got suspended last night when some irregularities were detected in some polling units.
However, to the chagrin of all the various party faithful, the Electoral Officer (EO) who suspended the collation and postponed it to 3 pm the next day which is today is yet to be seen at the time of filling this report.
When Voice of Nigeria reached out to the Returning Officer to ascertain the reason for the delay, he simply stated that he wouldn’t know until the EO comes.
“The postponement was done in the presence of all Party Agents last night for all to reconvene by 3 pm but he is yet to be seen,” he said.
