Anambra flood: Nigerian Navy donates relief materials to victims

The Nigeria Naval Officers Outpost in Anambta state, led by their Commander, Navy Captain GB Osuobeni, have donated some relief materials, including food items to the people displaced by flood at Odekpe Community in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State.

 

Navy Captain Osuobeni who sympathized with the victims, pledged to support them in any way the command could, in order to reduce their suffering and lauded the enthusiasm and passion exhibited by the Anambra State Government led by Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim and other high spirited individuals who have assisted the flood victims.

 

He also urged them to ensure that the relief materials are distributed conscientiously to people affected by the flood immediately.

 

Speaking at the occasion, the Ogbaru Flood Management Chairman, Chief Ben Nwasike, who represented the chairman of Ogbaru Local Government received the items on behalf of the community expressed joy at the act.

 

He called on well-meaning individuals to follow the example of the Nigerian Navy in ssisting the flood victims nationwide.
