Anambra Government Distributes 150 Oxygen Cylinders To Hospitals

The Government of Anambra State through the state Ministry of Health, has distributed 150 Oxygen Cylinders and the accessories to faith based hospitals, Government owned hospitals and Private hospitals across the state.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, while handing over the oxygen cylinders to the recipients, said that Gov. Charles Soludo’s administration is committed to improving the healthcare system in the state.

Dr. Obidike noted that, in 2023 the State Government supported his ministry to train faith based, Government and Private hospitals healthcare workers on oxygen use.

“The importance of oxygen gas cylinders lies in its ability to provide a reliable and portable source of oxygen, which is essential for human life.

“Oxygen gas cylinders are crucial in various settings, including: Healthcare: Oxygen therapy for patients with respiratory issues, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other breathing difficulties,” Obidike said.

The recipients from the various health facilities appreciated the state government for always prioritising the health sector.
