Anambra Government Distributes Multimedia Public Address System to PHCs

Anambra state government has commenced distribution of over 326 multimedia public address system to all the primary healthcare centres in all the wards in the state for increased enlightenment and awareness on healthcare programmes in the communities.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike who made the presentation in Awka, expressed optimism that with the availability of the multimedia public address system, government programmes and policies especially in rural communities will gain momentum.

According to the Health commissioner, “The passage of information especially about health is key and insisted that the procurement of the equipment is an added advantage in educating and sensitising the people about health related issues and insurances that will be beneficial to them and their entire families.”

Dr. Obidike revealed that the multimedia public address system has a capacity of 12 inches portable quality speaker, FM, remote control, two wireless microphone, USB slots, Bluetooth, memory card slots and recording facility among others.

He assured that with the hand over to the Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ANSPHCDA), Pharmacist Chisom Uchem, it is now set for onward distribution to the primary healthcare centres.
