The Anambra State Government recently mobilzed community leaders, specifically President Generals from areas hosting the pilot Smart Schools, to bolster the success of the Smart Learn Anambra Initiative.

This meeting was chaired by Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Commissioner for Education, alongside Chiamaka Nnake, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.

The Smart Learn Anambra Initiative represents a critical component of the state’s educational transformation efforts, designed under the leadership of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. By integrating advanced technology and modern infrastructure, the initiative aims to create world-class learning environments for students across the state.

This meeting highlighted the importance of community involvement in achieving educational excellence. Discussions focused on improving educational infrastructure at the pilot schools, ensuring they are equipped for tech-driven learning experiences.

Community leaders provided updates on the initiative’s progress, emphasizing achievements while pointing out areas needing further attention. A significant item on the agenda was the safeguarding of incoming educational equipment.

Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, CFA, MD/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, noted that this equipment represents a massive investment worth billions of naira.

In response, the President Generals proposed community-led strategies to protect school facilities, reinforcing a collective sense of ownership and accountability for the initiative.

“The active participation of communities is crucial for the long-term success of the Smart Learn Anambra Initiative,” stated Commissioner Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh. “Together, we will enhance educational opportunities for our children and improve learning environments throughout the state.”
