Anambra Government Trains MDAs with SolutionLens for Better Governance
By Chinwe Onuigbo, Awka
The Anambra State Government in a move towards boosting digital governance and enhancing public service delivery, has trained representatives from 13 pilot Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) on the SolutionLens platform.
The hands-on training, which took place on Tuesday at the Solution Innovation District in Awka, was organised by the Ministry of Budget & Economic Planning in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and the Anambra State ICT Agency.
SolutionLens serves as a direct communication channel between the government and its citizens, providing real-time access to government activities and promoting openness, accountability, and accessibility.
The training aimed at equipping MDAs with the necessary skills to navigate the platform, leverage its features, and actively engage in transparent governance.
During the event, Managing Director of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, CFA, highlighted the platform’s significance in modernising government operations.
“SolutionLens will act as a centralised system for accessing government projects and ministry-specific information. This training ensures that officers are well-prepared to navigate the platform seamlessly and provide valuable responses to citizens,”he stated.
Participants actively engaged in interactive demonstrations, hands-on sessions, and discussions to learn how to manage inquiries, update information, and use the dashboard for real-time reporting.
One participant shared her experience, praising SolutionLens as a timely intervention in rebuilding public trust in governance.
“The training was timely given the declining trust in governance. In today’s digital age, it will facilitate communication between citizens and ministries, making it easier for citizens to learn about projects in their communities and government activities. It fosters interaction and inclusion, holding the government accountable to the people of Anambra.”
Agbata also noted that as Anambra State gears up for the official launch of the SolutionLens platform, the government remains committed to driving digital transformation and transparency.
He added that the upcoming launch will enable full-scale citizen engagement, establishing the platform as a crucial tool for direct communication, real-time updates, and enhanced government accountability.
