Anambra State’s Housing Commissioner, Hon. Pauly Onyeka, praised the new Government House and Lodge under construction by Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, calling it the finest of its kind in Africa and a monumental project poised to endure through time.

In an interview with the Governor’s Media Team at the construction site in Awka, the state capital, Hon. Onyeka described the ambitious project as a substantial and transformative investment that is rapidly coming to fruition.

Understanding the state of this location just two years ago underscores the remarkable progress this administration has made what many would have deemed impossible,” he stated.

The Commissioner highlighted the scale of the development, which encompasses over 35 distinct buildings, including the main government structure, offices for the Governor, an amphitheater, residential areas, a clinic, a sports center, and a banquet hall capable of accommodating more than 1,225 guests, among other essential facilities.

He commended Governor Soludo for his innovative vision and commitment to infrastructural development in Anambra, describing him as a leader with a rare depth of thought and creativity in his initiatives.

The Governor is actively engaged at the site, ensuring the successful execution of this and other significant projects across the state,” Hon. Onyeka added.

“I have never encountered a leader with such passion and capability. We are indeed developing a remarkable Government House and vibrant city.

The strategic choice of the Government House’s location was deliberate, with proximity to key government bodies, including the judiciary, the House of Assembly, and the State Secretariat Complex, enhancing its importance within the state’s political structure.

Hon. Onyeka further assured the public that the completion of the new Government House is imminent, promising that it would soon be unveiled to the people of Anambra State and world at large.
