Anambra: Monarch honours former Army Chief

A former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd), has been honored with the esteemed traditional title of Ochiagha Dike Eji Eje Ogu-Aguleri in Anambra State Southeast Nigeria.

The recognition was conferred by His Royal Majesty, Eze (Dr) Michael Chukwuneme Idigo, Ezeudo (Eze Idigo IV), and Igwe Aguleri, at the Ama-Igwe palace in Amaigwe Aguleri, during the 124th Aguleri Ovala festival in Anambra State.

The chieftaincy title underscores Lt. Gen. Buratai’s significant contributions to national development, peace, and security, especially during his tenure as Chief of Army Staff of Nigeria

The new traditional Title “The Brave War Commander of Aguleri Kingdom,” his dedication to service has left an indelible mark, earning praise from various sectors of Nigerian society.

The honour not only acknowledges Gen. Buratai’s military achievements but also emphasizes the broader impact of his contributions to national development.
