Anambra: NGO Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Empowerment

A non-governmental organisation has restated its dedication to equipping young Nigerians with education and vocational skills to enhance their future prospects.

Speaking at an event in Awka, Anambra State, the Chief Executive Officer of the Akpoazaa Foundation, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, highlighted its ongoing efforts to support students through scholarships, academic competitions, and vocational training programs.

Over the past decade, its initiatives have benefited thousands of students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds.

The organisation emphasised that education remains a crucial tool for national development and economic stability. It called on individuals and institutions to invest in educational initiatives that can reduce youth unemployment and restiveness.

As part of its latest efforts, the NGO announced new initiatives, including funding for school fees and examination fees for students in need, as well as media training programs aimed at equipping young people with industry-relevant skills.

Plans were also revealed for upcoming academic competitions designed to recognize and reward outstanding students in higher education.

The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to creating opportunities for young Nigerians and urged stakeholders to support initiatives that promote education and skills development as a pathway to a better future.
