Anambra NSCDC Deploys Personnel For Edo Election Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has taken decisive action in ensuring the safety and security of the upcoming Edo State election.

In a statement released by the Head of Media and Tactical Ops NSCDC Anambra State Command, SC Okadigbo Edwin, it was announced that personnel have been deployed to support the NSCDC Edo State Command and other security agencies.

The deployment, according to the State Commandant Maku Olatunde, is in accordance with the directive of the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi. Emphasizing the need for neutrality and professionalism, Maku instructed the personnel to ensure a peaceful exercise, operate within the code of conduct, and uphold the reputation of the Corps.

As the election approaches, Maku urged the electorate to participate without fear and report any crimes or electoral offenses to law enforcement. The NSCDC is committed to maintaining peace and order during this crucial time, and with the deployment of personnel from Anambra State, a strong presence will be felt in Edo to guarantee a smooth electoral process.
