The Anambra State Police Command has received a new Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) to boost security operations across the state.

Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, received the vehicle on behalf of the Command on Monday at the State Police Headquarters and expressed optimism that the APC would enhance operational effectiveness in tackling emerging threats.

CP Orutugu commended the Nigeria Police Force leadership for the timely delivery, describing the vehicle as a vital addition to the Command’s tactical resources.

“This vehicle will significantly enhance our operational response, particularly in high-risk areas,” he said. “We are deeply grateful to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, whose proactive leadership continues to improve logistics, welfare, and morale of personnel across the country.”

He reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to securing lives and property in the state and urged citizens to continue cooperating with law enforcement authorities.

“The Anambra State Police Command remains resolute in its mission to protect Ndi Anambra,” he said. “We urge all citizens to support our efforts as we work toward a safer and more secure state for everyone.”
