Anambra State: Assistant Inspector General Of Police Assures Communities Of Support

The Assistant Inspector General, AIG, of Police, Mr Tony Olofu in charge of Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo, Anambra State, has assured communities in the state of the resolute support of the zone.

The AIG gave the assurance when he paid a courtesy visit to the Traditional Ruler of Ukpo, Igwe Dr. Robert Eze.

Olofu pointed out that the zone has reviewed security operatives assigned to various communities geared towards maintaining high standards in community policing and strengthening the partnership with other security agencies in the zone.

According to the Zone 13 AIG, the visit was part of his familiarization means of creating stronger bonds with community stakeholders, for the safety of both the state and the citizens.

Igwe Eze shortly after breaking the kola nuts, prayed for God’s continuous blessing and protection on the AIG and described him as an astonishing police officer and assured the Nigeria Police Force of the community continuous support at all times.

The AIG was accompanied on the visit by some senior officers in the zone including ACP Mbanefo Regina in charge of Zonal CID, CSP Dilichukwu Omemma Officer in-charge of Zonal intelligence Bureau, ASP Chinyelugo Jane, Inspector Joy Onyema Acting PPRO and Aig’s orderly/PA Peter Sambo.
